This conference, which uses Open Conference Systems developed by the Public Knowledge Project, enables participants to submit abstracts online at http://iallt2007.lss.wisc.edu/conference/submit.php.
Presentations can include:
• Single papers (abstract max of 250 words) • Panels (abstract max of 250 words) • Half-Day Workshops (abstract max of 250 words) • Full-Day Workshops (abstract max of 250 words) • Posters (abstract max of 250 words) • Lab or Facilities Tour (abstract max of 250 words)
Call for Papers Announcement
IALLT's Program Committee is looking for proposals for presentations that show how technology can and will revolutionize the learning and teaching of languages. These proposals could have topics such as:
- emerging technologies in support of language instruction, including:
- computer-mediated communication
- simulation and virtual environments
- portable technologies
- open source and other initiatives in the development of software for language instruction as well as
- new models for intra- and inter-institutional collaboration
- issues surrounding language center design
- legal and political issues affecting language learning and media development
- assessment and research on language learning technologies, including case studies, action research and qualitative/quantitative analyses
- other related topics (please contact the Program Committee with pre-proposals)
Presentations will range from 45 minute sessions, one hour panels, and poster sessions to half-day and full-day workshops.
Commercial exhibitors will include a wide variety of local, national, and international language learning and technology vendors as well as representatives of some of the major foreign language publishers.
The meeting will include a variety of social and sightseeing events in and around the Boston area including an opening reception, special lunches, as well as optional special events.
DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS : January 30th, 2007.
PRESENTERS MUST SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT OF 100 WORDS AND A 250 WORD DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSAL. ONLY THE 100 WORD ABSTRACT WILL APPEAR IN THE CONFERENCE PROGRAM.

Please also note that when submitting a "Document Abstract" that you may use up to 250 words to explain the proposal. Please adhere to the 100 word limit for the "Program Insert".
